"Keep on Knocking
Keep on Knocking ‘til the joy inside opens a window
Look to see who’s there
Inner wakefulness."

- About me...and my approach -

I believe that people grow and heal best when they feel safely connected, supported, and not alone in facing difficult situations and vulnerable or overwhelming emotions. We cannot be ahead of where we are at a particular juncture on our life path journey, but you do not have to figure out the next steps alone.
I offer over 40 years of skilled experience and a creative therapeutic partnership to understand and address your challenges. Together, we work to identify your positive future vision and to address obstacles impeding your forward motion. We will build on your unique strengths and resources as well as identify counterproductive habits, beliefs, or unprocessed relational trauma in the way of your authentic capacity to experience joy, compassionate self-regard, and loving relationships with others.
I am trained in a range of trauma and relationally informed interventions based in neuroscience that focus on strengthening internal emotional insight, developing emotional regulation and resiliency, and cultivating an authentic and relational sense of self in the present.
I work with Adults, Couples, Children, and Parents. My approach integrates EMDR, Internal Family Systems, (IFS) Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Somatic Imagery, Sand Therapy, Play Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Short Term Intensive Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and IMAGO couples and relational therapy.
I provide my clients with individualized resources and strategies they can practice outside of sessions for regulating anxiety and emotions, and for promoting a felt experience of well-being.
In addition to my clinical experience, I have a master’s degree in special education and am a skilled educational specialist. I have extensive experience in both private and public-school settings supporting students who demonstrate atypical development.
